Lost Dogs of Wisconsin attends Wagfest 2012

We had a great time at Elmbrook Humane Society’s annual Wagfest event at Mitchell Park in Brookfield. The crowds were large, the weather was wonderful and the dogs and people were awesome!

We scanned for microchips and were very pleased with the number of dogs that WERE microchipped.

At least 240 of them. Here is the breakdown by brand: 95 24 Petwatch, 67 HomeAgain, 64 AVID, 7 Bayer, 3 AKC and a few international and unknowns.

Many of the dogs that didn’t have microchips were taken directly to the Elmbrook HS booth where they were able to get a 24 Petwatch microchip including enrollment for the super duper deal of $20.

Thanks again to our volunteers and to everybody who stopped by to say hello. And a huge thank you to Elmbrook Humane Society for hosting such a great event where people can take their dogs for a day of socializing and fun. We’ll see you again next year!

One of our LDOW alumni, Marcus, lost in spring 2012.

Another LDOW alumni, Olena, with her happy owners.

Our booth before the crowds arrived!
